today so far—
up at 6am
brush teeth, splash face with cold water
cup of hot black tea, sips of leftover milk tea
heat up the pan
crispy fried egg with gochujang + sesame oil
crispy fried egg (with runny yolk)
seasoned with salt + freshly ground pepper
sun-dried tomato spread
to be eaten with eggs
fluffy, crusty bread*
fresh oranges
creamy full-fat yogurt + blueberries

*also: store your bread in the freezer if you don’t want it to become hard. cut bread into slices & keep in a freezer bag. reheat in the toaster when it’s time to eat.

baked deb perelman’s marbled chocolate banana cake 4x in the last 2 weeks.
mitchell learned how to make crispy fried egg. heat the pan until it’s very hot, then add a generous amount of oil, which should run smoothly like water. spoon the hot oil onto the whites of the egg so that the top sets but the yolk is still runny. it’s delicious.
you can order dim sum delivery for an extra $4. my favorite is the siu mai.
i’ve decided to occasionally take my coffee BLACK. maybe i’ll actually learn to appreciate good coffee flavor instead of drowning away the bitterness in milk. stay tuned, folks.
wishing you all a restful weekend. xoxo

Made egg in a hole for breakfast today
Probably could have turned out prettier but tasty nonetheless. Next time: lower heat & more bread-flipping practice. Can’t go wrong with eggs, toast, and butter…
made pour-over coffee today ☺️ i followed instructions from a Peet’s Coffee demo ☕️☕️☕️
anyway! to kick off 2019, i’ve started this blog as a (hopeful) creative outlet. here’s to an exciting and grand new adventure 🥂
